Pre-release Greeter draft — the second of three iterations deployed by a 2000 ETH genesis wallet on Frontier Day 1 before the final version.
Key Facts
Description
The second of three identical Greeter drafts deployed by 0xA1E4380A on August 7, 2015 — Ethereum Frontier Day 1. Deployed at block 49170 (17:40:10 UTC), this contract shares the same code structure as the final version (0xcde4de4d) deployed 56 minutes later: three functions (kill, greet, mortal) including the mortal() ownership vulnerability that allows anyone to hijack ownership. The only difference is a longer greeting string in the constructor, suggesting the deployer was iterating on different messages. All three drafts were selfdestructed before 0xcde4 was deployed. The deployer received 2000 ETH at genesis and was among the most active developers on Frontier Day 1.
