Bancor's ETH wrapper token, used as the ETH reserve of the original BNT converter.
Historical Significance
An early ETH wrapper token, predating the widely used WETH9 contract, built so ETH could sit in a Bancor reserve like any other token.
Token Information
Key Facts
Description
An ERC20 token backed one to one by ETH: deposit() mints tokens for ETH sent and withdraw() burns them and returns the ETH. Deployed 2017-06-22 and set as the initial reserve of the BancorChanger, so BNT could be priced against ETH through a standard token interface.
