An early Pluton deployment built from the unmodified ConsenSys HumanStandardToken as it stood on 20 June 2016.

Homestead EraVerified Source

Historical Significance

Taken together the two deployments are a dated fingerprint of the ConsenSys token contract as it changed. The 20 June build matches the repository at commit 5252384b9a and the 26 June build matches commit 884080acfe, the revision that made approveAndCall throw on failure. Neither contract is modified in any way, so the only difference between the two runtimes is the upstream edit, which puts an on chain date on it inside a six day window.

Context

ConsenSys/Tokens was the reference implementation that most 2016 token launches were cut from. HumanStandardToken was its human facing variant, adding a name, symbol, decimals, a version string and approveAndCall on top of the bare ERC-20 functions. Both of these carry the name Pluton and the symbol PLU, later used by the Plutus project, though the PLU token in circulation today lives at a different address.
